The Big Test of GDPR
GDPR came into full force on 25 May 2018. Right after that, Max Schrems filed the first cases under GDPR against Facebook and Google. The €3.9 billion lawsuits accused the companies of “coercing” users into accepting their data collection policies. These lawsuits became test cases to see how regulators interpret the GDPR.
